Jakarta shared similar views with Tehran on liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Chairman of People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia said his country shared similar views with the Islamic Republic of Iran on liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque. 
 

Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia Zulkifli Hasan, who is staying in Tehran, attended a joint press conference with Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday morning. 
During the session, Hasan deemed Iran as an influential country inside the region urging Iranians to step up efforts for finding a solution to regional crises. 
“During the meeting with Iran’s parliament speaker, we dealt with bilateral trade ties between the two countries,” highlighted the visiting official asserting “Indonesia presently produces a total of 2.5 million barrels of crude oil per day in addition to large amounts of natural gas though we are after stronger economic relations with Iran.” 
“Indonesia and Iran agree that Al-Aqsa Mosque needs to be liberated share similar views on the need to defend Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar through international or Islamic parliaments as well as the United Nations (UN),” he asserted. 
Zulkifli Hasan went on to add that close ties between Iranian and Indonesian governments and parliaments remains as an excellent ground for finding a solution to regional crises. 
“Like Iran, we also believe that ISIL brutality is damaging Islam there no way for compromising on the issue,” he continued. 
Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia also appreciated hospitality of the Iranian nation. 
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, for his part, said regional crises merely benefit the Zionist regime and need to be addressed through dialogue. 
He evaluated Indonesia as a major and influential state in East Asia stating “Tehran and Jakarta have always held close ties and Indonesia has acted wisely towards regional issues.” 
“The two sides also enjoy excellent parliamentary ties though existing relations will become strengthened,” underscored the official. 
Larijani noted that several topics, including escalation of trade ties between the two states, were discussed during his joint meeting with Indonesia’s Zulkifli Hasan. 
“We both agree that Islamic countries need to prevent destructive terrorist movements through consultation,” he added. 
He further expressed hope that the visit to Tehran of the Indonesian official will help promote mutual relations between the two sides.
