Syrian Army Troops Retake More Strategic Areas under Control in Latakia + VIDEO
The Syrian army retook Atira village and the hill and mountain of al-Syriatel, Northeast of Zahia mountain in the Northern countryside of Latakia following fierce clashes with terrorists.
Scores of Takfiri militants were killed and injured in the clashes.
On Tuesday night, the Syrian army seized back al-Harishah hill, West of al-Sheikh Mohammed hill, in the Northern countryside of Latakia.
Also on Tuesday night, the Syrian forces liberated Rweiset Ya'qoub in the Northeastern countryside of Latakia from the control of the terrorist.
Dozens of militants were killed and injured in the army's attacks, FNA reported.
The foreign-sponsored conflict in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has claimed the lives of more than 250,000 people and left over one million injured, according to the United Nations.
The world body says 12.2 million people, including more than 5.6 million children, remain in need of humanitarian assistance. The foreign-sponsored militancy has displaced 7.6 million people.
