In a statement Al-Wefaq Movement announced that Bahraini armed forces attacked a Muharram ceremony in the district of Al-Ma’amir west of Manama. The statement said that the regime forces attacked the ceremony organised to commemorate the beginning of the month of Muharram without any prior warnings using poisonous gases which resulted in women and children becoming sick.

According to reports the Bahraini regime has placed limitations on organising Muharram ceremonies throughout the country.
