The duplicity is a characteristic which shows itself as showy actions. This bad characteristic has different levels but the important point is that the place of duplicity is in the heart and the intention of a human.

As long as a person has an intension to do an act for the sake of God that is enough and it is not necessary to be fussy about the act. A person does not need to hide his/her actions from others. Hiding ones actions is not sincerity and doing actions in open is not necessarily duplicity. The important point for carrying out an act is having the sincere intention for the sake of God.
