Syrian Army Regains Control of Deir Ez-Zor Strategic Parts

The army regained control of certain strategic parts of al-Haviqeh after they had been captured for only a few hours by the armed rebels, FNA dispatches said.

The Syrian army has now advanced up to the vicinity of Fatemeh Zahra mosque in Deir Ez-Zor.

Tens of armed forces have been killed and dozens more injured in the Syrian army’s operations in Deir Ez-Zor area.

Notorious terrorists such as Akram Salem from the so-called Mohammad Battalions and Esmail Attaollah Hadid from Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group have been identified among the armed rebels killed in Deir Ez-Zor.

The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.

Washington has remained indifferent to warnings by Russia and other world powers about the consequences of arming militant groups.
