Some of the social media reporting from eastern Saudi Arabia announced that one of the detainees arrested for taking part in a peaceful demonstration has lost his hearing due to being subjected to tortures whilst in prison.

According to Al-Awamieh news network Yousef Al-e-Yousef a Shia Muslim from town of Safawi lost hearing in one of his ears due to tortures in a Saudi prison. Yousef has been in prison for a year since he was arrested for taking part in a peaceful gathering.
