Last night Ashur Hosseinieh in Banidulghar district of Kuwait was attacked by Salafis whilst a memorial ceremony was being held for Sheikh Shahata who recently was martyred in Egypt together with some other Shia Muslims.

Reliable sources said that before the ceremony Kuwaiti Salafis expressed their objection to this gathering in social sites whilst asking interior Ministry to refuse permission for the memorial and called it provocative.

According to Iraqi Noon news association after the attack Kuwaiti security forces asked for the ceremony to be cancelled and tried to disperse hundreds of Salafis who surrounded the Hosseinieh.
