Sayyed Nasrallah: Aleppo Victory Decisively Foiled All Attempts to Topple Syrian Regime
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Friday hailed the liberation of Syria’s Aleppo as a major victory for the axis of Resistance, stressing that the Takfiri militants and their backers have failed to topple the Syrian regime.
Addressing Hezbollah university students during an academic ceremony held in Beirut, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the battle in Aleppo was fierce on all levels, especially regarding the different means of support which Takfiris were offered.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah S.G. noted that the Takfiris have been defaming and offending Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) because they are committing their atrocities in the name of this religion.
In this regard, his eminence stressed that the Muslim world bears responsibility to condemn every crime committed by the Takfiris who follow the Wahabbi ideology, and to make it known to the international community that such crime are not linked to Islam.
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah urged the Bahraini regime to be wise, warning Manama against committing a folly like Thursday’s move when regime forces stormed Diraz and attempted to attack the house of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Issa al-Qassem.
On the Lebanese issue, Sayyed Nasrallah voiced satisfaction concerning the positive atmosphere in the country following the formation of the national accord government. His eminence said the government has to assume all its responsibility regarding daily challenges, and not to consider that its only task is to endorse an electoral law.
The resistance leader also called all Lebanese to cooperate in a bid to meet all challenges especially on the security level.
Crimes in the Name of Islam
Sayyed Nasrallah started his speech congratulating both Muslims and Christians on the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Prophet Jesus (PBUH).
His eminence saluted all Mujahedeen (resistance fighters) across Lebanon and Syria who are defending their countries against the Israeli and Takfiri enemies.
Sayyed Nasrallah then warned against the campaign aimed at defaming Islam, noting that our religion has been subjected throughout the last six year to a very dangerous campaign.
“Our religion and our prophet Mohamamd (PBUH) have been greatly offended in the last years,” Sayyed Nasrallah addressed Hezbollah students at Sayyed Shuahadaa Complex in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh).
“These offenses are very dangerous because they are committed by so-called Muslim people and in the name of religion,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, referring to Takfiri terrorists.
“Takfiris’ atrocities are real massacres on the humanitarian and cultural levels,” his eminence stated, calling all Muslims to bear their responsibilities through refusing and condemning such crimes.
“Those who keep silent are partners in these crimes,” Hezbollah S.G. warned.
Sayyed Nasrallah talked about some crimes committed by the Takfiri terrorists, explaining their way of thinking and warning against threat posed by such insurgents and their Wahabbi ideology.
“Marking Prophet Mohammad’s birth anniversary is banned by the Wahabbi ideology and targeted by the followers of this ideology.”
“Sending children to carry out suicide attacks is something very dangerous, horrible and must be denounced,” his eminence said referring to the blast which took place in Damascus last week and was carried out by a seven-year-old girl wearing suicide belt.
Sayyed Nasrallah then voiced condemnation to ISIL’s burning of two Turkish soldiers alive, warning that Turkey “is paying price” its support to the Takfiri group.
In this regard, Sayyed Nasrallah called on Ankara to announce a clear stance from ISIL.
“Turkey banned social media yesterday in a bid to prevent its people from seeing the price of supporting ISIL,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, referring to Turkish authorities measures on Thursday, when they banned the social media in the country after ISIL released a video showing the burning of two Turkish soldiers alive.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah S.G. called on media to avoid using the term terrorism while talking about Islam and Muslims, stressing that all Muslims must disavow atrocities committed by Takfiris.
Aleppo Liberation Major Victory for Our Front
Talking about Aleppo, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the liberation of Syria’s second largest city was a major victory for the axis of resistance, stressing that this victory has decisively foiled all attempts by Takfiris and their backers to topple the Syrian government.
“What happened in Aleppo is a real and tough war,” the resistance leader said, noting that huge numbers of foreign militants from across the world took part in battles which took place south and west of Aleppo.
“In face of this big battle our sacrifices were also huge,” Hezbollah S.G. said, praising martyrs who fell down during this battle.
His eminence then dismissed as baseless allegations that the militants in Aleppo were abandoned by their backers, saying that “support offered to Syria militants by Arab states in six years exceeded support offered to Palestine in sixty years.”
“Militants’ failure in Syria was not due to lack of support but because of the determination of Syria and its allies to defeat terrorism.”
The war against Syria had two goals, Sayyed Nasrallah clarified, noting that the first goal was to topple the Syrian regime while the second was to fully control the country.
In this context, his eminence said that after Aleppo victory we comfortably can say that the terrorists and their backers completely failed to achieve their first goal, stressing that Aleppo liberation “decisively foiled all attempts to topple the Syrian government.”
“Aleppo battle is one of the major defeats of the other camp and it is a victory and an important military development for our cam,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, noting that “this does not mean the end of the conflict but rather that the scheme that was seeking to oust the regime has ended.”
On the other hand, Sayyed Nasrallah lashed out at the western media for propagating fake photos and videos of people’s sufferings in Syria’s Aleppo, noting that many of these photos were taken of the Israeli massacres in Gaza and Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh).
“They claimed that these photos were of Aleppo children,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, referring to media outlets which he said, “are turning a blind eye for thousands of Yemeni children who have been suffering for more than a year and a half because of the Saudi blockade.”
Bahrain and The Lebanese Gov’t
Before getting into the local issues in Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah condemned the Bahraini regime’s attempt to attack the house of prominent Shia cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Issa al-Qassem on Thursday.
“The attack yesterday was a folly,” Sayyed Nasrallah said urging the regime in Manama to “be wise.”
On the Lebanese situation, Sayyed Nasrallah said there has been positive atmosphere in Lebanon following the formation of the national accord government, calling on the cabinet to assume its responsibilities and deal with the daily issues of the Lebanese people.
“The government has to assume all its responsibilities, not only the electoral law.”
Concerning the electoral law, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated Hezbollah’s stance regarding this issue, voicing support to an electoral law based on proportionality.
Meanwhile, his eminence stressed that Hezbollah has sought partnership with all Lebanese factions and was keen that all parties should be represented in the government.
Sayyed Nasrallah also said that the Lebanese security apparatus must be aware in order to confront any potential Takfiri attack, noting that the Lebanese powers must cooperate on many levels in a bid to face different challenges.
