Imam Khamenei urges ‘collective responsibility’ in defending Establishment
Leader of the Islamic Republic has said only a collective responsibility to defend ideals of the system would abort enemies’ plots.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s addressed a meeting of congress to honor Golestan province martyrs of the Imposed War earlier in November where he had called the public to be held responsible in the face of the threats to the Revolutionary ideals, in a time the Islamic Iran had been the regular target of the encroachments by the imperialist enemies; “in an era of dominance of imperialism, the institution of religion had been pushed to the edges and into isolation; however, propagated by the Revolution of 1979, Islam took the center stage in claiming all geographical domains and won many soft hearts; the initiative was alarming for the enemies who from the beginning, had launched their unremitting attacks against the religion,” Ayatollah Khamenei’s address went on.
“All the nation should feel accountable for what the Establishment provides them and requires them to defend the ideals so dearly held during past decades,” he added.
“To honor and celebrate the memory of martyrs is part of this collective awareness and responsibility; any initiative and congress to mark the greatness of martyrs’ achievements should appeal to perceptive hearts and lovers of the art media,” the address had said.
Still touching a sensitive issue of the province, the unity of Shia and Sunni population, Leader had urged the intelligentsia to improve the sense of unity among the fellow coreligionists across communities; “a peaceful symbiosis of ethnic and religious groups would defeat Takfiri and Wahhabist ideologues in sowing discord intended to divide the population,” he had warned.
