IRGC: Iran Will Send Nuclear Deal to Museum If US Fails to Keep Commitments
Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hussein Salami warned on Thursday that if the US fails to honor its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran will send the deal to museum and return to the first point.
“If the US does not remain fully committed to its pledges in implementation of the nuclear deal, the inactive centrifuges will come on stream once again but this time we will not restrict ourselves to the pre-sanctions level,” the commander said.
Speaking on the anniversary of the take-over of the US embassy in Tehran by revolutionary students in 1979, which is also called “Student Day” in Iran, Salami said the Iranian government is not just committed to the US and the G5+1 countries, it is also committed to the Iranian nation.
“The Iranian government has promised the nation that if the US fails to honor its commitments under the nuclear deal, it will nullify the deal and resume nuclear activities,” the Iranian commander added.
