Al-Qaeda siding with Saudi Arabia in Yemen: Analyst
Press TV has conducted an interview with Jim W. Dean, the managing editor of Veterans Today in Atlanta, to discuss the situation in Yemen and the Saudi war on the country.
Dean says the Saudi airstrikes can disrupt but not degrade the situation in Yemen.
The political commentator says the Houthis are fighting some supporters of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, the country’s fugitive former president and a close ally of Riyadh, as well as al-Qaeda terrorists in the Arab country, while Saudi Arabia has proven that it has backed ISIL and al-Nusra Front in Iraq and Syria.
Now, Dean says, there are “al-Qaeda sections siding with the Saudis.”
Certain intelligence agencies sent terrorist groups to the region and they can use the terrorists whenever they need them, he says.
