1535: The wise, pious and moral speeches of Imam Musa al-Kazim (a.s): part three
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful
21- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Definitely there shall be mercy on the inhabitant of the earth if: (a) they did not seize from loving each other; (b) they give back what was entrusted upon them (c) and when they work base on truth. (Mishkatu Nur: 140).
22- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Indeed there are servants of Allah on earth that strives in assisting people for their needs; definitely they shall be the trustworthy ones in the day of resurrection. (Al-Kafi volume: 2, page: 197).
23- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Whoever is in enmity with our followers are in enmity with us,… until he said: our followers are those that observe their daily prayers, give the Zakat, perform the pilgrimage to the sacred House of Allah, fast in the holy month of Ramadan, give allegiance to the holy household and shows their enmity towards our enemies; those are the faithful, God fearing ones and they are those that fulfill promises; whoever rejects them has rejected Allah and whoever hurt them has hurt Allah. (Wasa’il Shi’ah volume: 1, page: 15).
24- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Whoever prevents his annoyance on people, Allah shall prevent His annoyance from him on the Day of Judgment. (Tuhfal Uqul: 411).
25- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) heard a man hoping for death and he said to him:
Did you have any relationship with Allah while He has assisted you? No he said.
Imam said: have you put forward good deeds that are more than your bad deeds? No he said.
Imam said: then you are hoping for eternal destruction! (Kasful Ghumah volume: 2, page: 252).
26- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
I found people’s knowledge lies in four things:
a- To know your Lord;
b- To know what was use in your creation;
c- To know what is needed from you;
d- To know what can exit you from your religion.
(Kanzul Fawa’id volume: 1, page: 219).
27- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
The family of every man are his captives, therefore whomever Allah has bestowed favor upon should extend it to his captives, if he refuses to do that the favor may soon be out of his hand. (A'mali by Suduq sitting: 68, the 3rd hadith).
Brief explanation to this Narration
Issue concerning simplicity with ones wife and children has been mentioned in many narrations; here in this narration both wife and children were considered to be captives for the fact that they don’t have any option for their livelihood rather than to spread their hand before men in order to satisfies their needs. In another respect a captive is not only in need of material needs rather spiritual needs included also. To this end good dealing and showing affections are the best gift you can rendered to them. That is why in another narration it is reported that the most beloved man to Allah among His servant is he that is of good behavior to his family.
28- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Whoever speak truth has purify his work, whoever is having good intention has increases his provision and whoever is of good behavior to his brothers and family has prolong his life span. (Bihar al-Anwar volume: 75, page: 303).
29- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
Indeed Allah prohibited Paradise for every immoral speaker that is less in shyness, who doesn’t mind what he says and what is said about him. (Thfal Uqul: 416).
30- Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him) said:
The similitude of this world is like the water of the sea, at anytime a thirsty man drinks from it, his thirsty increases until it kills him. (Tuhfal Uqul: 417).
