A political commentator says the administration of US President Barack Obama must be held responsible for the atrocities being committed by the Takfiri ISIL terrorist group in Iraq and Syria.
Daniel Faraci, the director of Grassroots Political Consulting LLC, said in an interview with Press TV from Washington that the US has been a main force in “creating, equipping and funding” militant groups in the troubled Mideast region.
The analyst went on to say that President Obama must “bear the responsibility” for the recent beheading of an American aid worker by the ISIL terrorist group in Syria.
The remarks come as Obama has confirmed the killing of American aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, describing his beheading at the hands of the ISIL terrorist group as “pure evil.” On Sunday, ISIL terrorists released a video, saying they had beheaded Kassig and warned Washington they would kill more Americans “on your streets.”
The terrorist group has executed several foreign nationals, including American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
Faraci stressed that the constant backing by the US and its regional allies have emboldened the ISIL to continue its criminal agenda across the region.
The commentator also blamed Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and some other Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in Iraq and Syria.
The ISIL terrorists currently control large swathes of territory across Syria and Iraq. They have carried out heinous atrocities in both countries, including mass executions and beheadings of people.
