Israeli troops exploded and tore down dozens of Palestinian homes shortly before a fragile 12-hour humanitarian truce stopped regime attacks on the Gaza Strip, a new video shows.

 

A footage, filmed from the Israeli-occupied territories side of the border, shows powerful explosions levelling Palestinian homes and black plumes of smoke rising above Gaza.

Nearly a thousand people have been killed in just 19 days of Israeli bombardment on homes, schools and hospitals in Gaza.

An Israeli airstrike killed at least twenty members of a Palestinian family in Khan Younis refugee camp just minutes before the 12-hour humanitarian ceasefire took hold.

After the truce went into effect, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip poured into the streets to retrieve civilian bodies from the rubble and debris of Gaza homes.

Emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said the 85 bodies had been brought to hospitals in north, central and southern Gaza, as well as Gaza City, but that the toll was expected to rise further still.
