Foreign terrorists killed by Syrian troops
A number of foreign-backed terrorists belonging to al-Qaeda-linked groups such as Ahrar-ol-Sham, Ahfad al-Rasoul and Dojana Brigades have been killed by Syrian military forces in the suburban Damascus region of Khan al-Sheikh.
Reporting from the area on Friday, an Al Alam correspondent stated that many of the terrorist killed during the operation were “non-Syrian natives.”
Moreover, special units of the Syrian Army further succeeded in defusing four 40-kilogram bombs that were all ready set to explode in the vicinity of Homs city, near Lebanon’s border.
In separate developments, Syrian forces waged a number offensives against staging bases of terrorist in the areas of al-Qanitara, Daraa, Dier al-Zour, Hama and Aleppo, killing numerous armed terrorists.
The report also indicates that 14 rockets were launch by Syria-based terrorists towards the Akkar region on the Lebanese side of the Syria border, killing and injuring several people.
