All Muslims should rise against Takfiri groups, said Head of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought

(The Head of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri said all Muslims should rise against Takfiri groups as they confront all Muslims. In a speech at the second conference of the Committee for Islamic Peace in Istanbul on Thursday 28 November 2013, Ayatollah Taskhiri said, the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has carried out a lot of research into compromise and friendship amongst Muslims and has sent delegates to all over the world for establishing unity.
Ayatollah Taskhiri added that he personally travelled to many parts of the world to discuss problems in the Islamic world. He pointed to his trip to Myanmar and said in that country Muslims are killed by the Buddhists and in there I told their leaders that Buda invited people to mercy and friendship so you have mercy and friendship with Muslims. Ayatollah Taskhiri referred to his trip to Saudi Arabia for taking part in the conference of the International Council of Islamic Fiqh where I invited all scholars to rise against the Takfiri thoughts and stressed to them the need for meetings about unity in the Islamic world.
