Burmese government announced that it will never give citizenship to Muslims

The Presidential Spokesperson announced that Burmese government will not yield to pressures from other countries and the United Nations to give citizenship to Muslims. He wrote in his Facebook that Burmese government does not recognise Rohingya Muslims because they are from Bangladesh and not from Burma! Last Tuesday the Human Rights Committee of the United Nations demanded that the Burmese government to give right of citizenship to its population and make it easier for them to return to their country. The committee also demanded that Buddhists aggressions against Rohingya Muslims must end. Last week a delegation from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation made up of 7 countries visited Burma and held meetings with the high authorities to demand the Burmese government to recognise the rights of Muslims in that country.
