Extremist Salafis mob attacked Imam Reza’s (AS) birthday celebration in Egypt
On Monday 16 September news broke out in Jizeh province that a ceremony would be held to celebrate Imam Reza’s (AS) birthday which led to anger amongst the Salafis of the area. The Salafis then attacked the house of Farhat Mohammad Ali who was hosting the ceremony. This is the same house where Salafis attacked before at the night of birthday celebration of Imam Mahdi (AJ).
The eye witnesses told Turkish Anadoulo news network that most of the inhabitants of Abu Moslem village surrounded Farhat Ali’s house and attacked the house as well as insulting the guests. Farhat Ali’s house was under siege for 30 minutes before the Police arrived and Salafis escaped. Farhat Ali told Anadoulo reporter that many of those who surrounded and attacked his house by stones were his neighbours. It was in the same village that Sheikh Shahada the distinguished Shia scholar and four other Shia Muslims were martyred by the extremist Salafi mob that attacked the birthday celebration of Imam Mahdi (AJ).
