Armed terrorists attacked a Shia Mosque in Kabul

On the early hours of Thursday 5 September two armed terrorists wearing Afghan Police uniforms attacked a Shia Mosque in Kabul. According to BBC the statement by the Head of national security office of Afghanistan said that the two terrorists were Pakistani nationals and their aim was to kill the worshippers.

The incident occurred at 4:30 AM in the west of Kabul when the terrorists attacked “Imam Hassan (AS)” Mosque. The Police who were present in the area engaged with the terrorists and killed them whilst three innocent civilians were also injured. So far no terrorist group has claimed the responsibility for the attack. Recently the terrorists have been using the uniforms of the Afghan Police and army for their attacks which make it difficult for the security forces to identify them.
