Saudi Arabia banned a woman journalist from travelling abroad

Saudi authorities banned journalist and human rights activist Iman Al-qahtani from travelling abroad. According to Al-Aalam when Al-Qahtani wanted to leave Saudi Arabia and go abroad she found out that she was banned from travelling.

Saudi authorities are dissatisfied with Al-Qahtani’s activities and threatened her last April to stop her activities or face revenge from her family. Iman Al-Qahtani is under pressure from Saudi security forces for publishing photos of the trials of two founders of civil rights society in her Twitter page. The two activists were jailed for 10 years for their civil activities. Human rights supporters are worried about Saudi’s renewed efforts to silence the voices of opposition.
