The family of recently martyred Sheikh Shahata and other Egyptian families are under siege and cannot come out of their houses due to fears of being killed by Takfiris. According to Shia Online some Egyptian media which covered the martyrdom of Sheikh Shahata revealed that the Shahata family and other Shia families are under siege in their houses.

The Egyptian media also revealed that after murdering Sheikh Shahata the Salafi terrorists have not left his family alone and surrounded their house. Egyptian media criticised the security forces for not dispersing terrorists who are surrounding the house. Meanwhile a reporter who tried to enter the Shahata house said the Takfiri groups have surrounded the house and are waiting for the family members to come out to commit more murders.
