Report Reveals Mossad's Role in Tajikistan Civil War

TEHRAN (FNA)- A report released by a Tajik magazine disclosed the Israeli spy agency's outstanding role in the outbreak of the civil war in Tajikistan a decade ago.

"The Zionist regime stirred the civil war in Tajikistan, created hostility and distrust among the regional tribes and sought to hinder the fulfillment of the historical responsibility of the Tajik people who were busy with promoting Islam in the Central Asia and the surrounding areas for more than a thousand years," the weekly 'Negah' magazine wrote in its latest edition on Monday.

"In 1992 one of high-ranking Mossad members was in Central Asia for almost a long time and incited the regional countries and the Russian officials to oppose the national reconciliation government in Tajikistan," the magazine added.

It said that the civil war was a good pretext for Israel to transfer a large number of Jews who resided in the Central Asia, including 15,000 Jews in Tajikistan, to the occupied territories.

In relevant remarks in 2012, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi warned the arrogant power's spying agencies are playing a main role in the regional crises through their support and aid to terrorist groups, mentioning that the move is aimed at Muslims' disunity.

Firouzabadi said that CIA and Mossad are trying to create a rift among Muslims (Sunnis and Shiites) through dispatching apparently religious groups which are actually terrorist groups and engage in terrorist activities.

Pointing to the role of state intelligence services of the big powers in funding the terrorist groups, the commander said that creating rift among Muslims and radicalism pursued by al-Qaeda are the plots pursued by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) , Zionist regime's Mossad and UK's MI6 against Muslims across the world.
