Saghand uranium complex near the Central city of Ardakan and Shahid Rezayeenejad Yellow Cake production facility are slated to be inaugurated by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday.

Speaking to the Islamic republic news agency, Governor of Ardakan Ahmad Kamali said that uranium ores are extracted from the depth of 350 meters in Saghand mine near Ardakan and is then sent to Rezayeenejad complex to be converted into Yellow Cake.

He said that several provincial and city officials will attend the ceremony to open the two projects on the occasion of the national day of nuclear technology.

President Ahmadinejad is due to inaugurate the two projects via a video conference connection.

In April 2006, President Ahmadinejad announced that Iran had succeeded in completing the nuclear fuel production cycle at laboratory scale, which made Iran one of the world's 9 established nuclear states. Following the event, April 9 was named as the day of nuclear technology.
