Demonstrators condemn US meddling in Yemen

Thousands of Yemenis have held a demonstration to protest against the meddling of the US in their country's internal affairs.

During the Friday rally in the northern governorate of Sa'ada, the protesters also condemned Washington's continued assassination drone attacks on the country’s soil and called for the expulsion of US marines from Yemen.

The protesters also chanted slogans against the US strongest ally, Israel.

The growing US domination has sparked numerous mass demonstrations, particularly in the Sa'ada governorate to the north of Sana'a.
The protesters have used the demonstrations to express the people’s total rejection of foreign intervention in their country's affairs.

The human rights groups have also lambasted the increasing number of US assassination drone attacks, which mostly target innocent civilians.

The activists said the growing US interference in Yemen's affairs is considered to be a flagrant violation of the Middle Eastern country's sovereignty.

Washington uses its assassination drones in Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Somalia, claiming that they target the terrorists. The attacks, however, have mostly led to massive civilian casualties.
